What Customers Say About MONSTER CABLE ; 30 ft. piece with 4 prs. pins - 9.14 m. (XPGP-30):

i had bought both ACOUSTIC RESEARCH AP-16100W 100' White 16 Gauge Oxygen-Free Speaker Wire and this cable wire for testing. Like i said i was out of the HTS game for a while and did not want to take chances with wires i did not use or heard of before. All i can say is that judge it when you hear it. Lots of people had many many debates over cables and how expensive they are. i am not a big fan of Monster cables for a simple reason: they are way over priced. But trust me, regardless of which-brand of wires u decide on, don't vouch for cheap thin twisted pair wires. However when i continue using the woofer separately, things were back to normal. With the monster it would sound slightly better.
If you know your wires and certain brands that sound good to your ears, then you may skip this purchase from Monster. I did try both Monster and the ACOUSTIC wire for the front Polk Audio Monitor Series CS2 Center Channel Speaker (Single, Cherry)speaker in conjunction with with the Yamaha RX-V1800BL 7.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver (Black) to come to a conclusion i checked for my ears. a cable is a cable unless you hear otherwise. Frankly if i had my old old BOSE wires (which were sold 6 years ago) i don't think i would have bought these wires. My Objective: since i have been out of the custom HT system setup for a while, i was not really sure which wire to go with. The verdict: well honestly i did not hear much of a difference until i switched the setting on the AV to send all the output (including Low Frequency base sound) to the polk. If you are starting out as a novice in HTS then i would pay the extra to understand what your ears like and dislike. they don't sound good at all under any setup.
I used this wire to hookup my car audio. I was forced to run the tweeter/woofer wires to each door OUTSIDE the rubber boot. After more then a year the wire still looks/sounds great and shows no signs of the abuse its had to endure.UPDATE: its 2002 and the wires are still running strongUPDATE: its 2004 and the wires are still running strongUPDATE: its 2005 and the wires are still working fine.
This is the only type of speaker cable i use to connect my state of the art sound system.
